Shannon is a South African born singer-songwriter whose original material blends blues, folk and country sounds with her sometimes quirky insights into life and observations on her home country and travels. Known for her distinctive, warm voice, Shannon has spent the last 10 years performing covers and original shows to enthusiastic crowds at some of her city’s best-loved venues as well as two of the country’s most popular music festivals. She has also had the privilege of performing at countless weddings, corporate events and other celebrations and had some long-standing gigs at hotels, bars and restaurant chains. Her cover repertoire is large with over 100 songs ranging from oldies (Fleetwood Mac, Beatles, Cat Stevens), to 90s (David Gray, Seal, Rihanna, Oasis), to more current stuff (George Ezra, Drake, Lumineers, Ed Sheeran) and she loves to add her own distinctive sound to each rendition. She can keep things super laid back or amp things up for more of a party vibe. In June 2018, Shannon moved to London to pursue adventures in music, travel and writing with a view of developing her songwriting, collaborating with other artists and playing new and exciting venues. In April 2019, she performed at the legendary Half Moon in Putney and will play at The Bedford in Balham in May.
